Additional Tips to Add to Your Pizza Checklist and Make Homemade Pizza
- Get creative with your toppings, and make the best combinations. Just add the name of the topping in the cell where it says “Enter Topping” and choose in the box if you have it. Keep in mind that the toppings will add weight to your pizza. In some instances will also add moisture. For example, if you like mushrooms, know that if you add them raw they release a lot of moisture during the cooking process which might affect your end result. Sometimes is useful to pre-cook or saute your topping prior to adding them to your pizza.
- Enter your preferred setting for fermentation and temperature. You can enter from 1 to 2 hrs for the first fermentation. Note that more than 2 hours may adversely affect your dough. For the second fermentation, you can choose from 8 hrs up to 72 hrs. If you have any other setting can enter it where it says “Enter your setting”
- Set your oven temperature from 350F to 900F. Note that most home ovens only reach up to 500F. The lower the temperature the longer it will take to cook your pizza. If you are already a pro and want to enter other temperatures such as the dough temperature or want to keep track of your kitchen humidity you can enter in the “Enter your setting” cell.
- You have plenty of space to write your directions as well as any notes you may have. In the Directions box and the Notes box. The best of all is that once you finish entering all the applicable check boxes of your pizza checklist, all your settings, directions, and notes you can print your checklist. Take it with you to the market to get what you need or share it with your friends to show them your skills as a pizza pro.
