We conducted a preheating experiment to investigate how long it takes. Here are the results:

Preheat Time: 15 Minutes

The pizza became crispier and very pale, unlike baking using a cooking sheet. The pizza was raw in the middle and soft. The indicated the pizza didn’t get enough heat.

Preheat Time: Half an Hour

The pizza was not raw after heating for 30 minutes, although it did not become crispy. It also had no color since it was white.

It was hotter than the first one but still not enough.

Preheat Time: 45 Minutes

This pizza turned crispy, pleasant, and had some browning. The color was even, unlike the previous ones and the results were quite satisfying.

Preheat Time: One hour

This pizza was better than all the rest; it had more color and was crispier.

From our results, we concluded that one hour is the perfect time for preheating your pizza stone. The results achieved at 45 minutes did not considerably differ from the results from one hour.
